Look for Study Groups
Studying in a group is great. The group will help to keep you focused and motivated and you’ll learn from your other “study buddies”. There may be a study group in your community. However, if there isn’t, or if you prefer to learn online, you should know that there is a live study group for the NCLEX on Facebook. Here is a link for study groups.
Find A Mentor
A registered nurse with an RN career will be a great choice here. If you know a nurse who knows the ropes, be sure to ask for help and guidance before you take your NCLEX examination. Lots of nurses are kind, generous and more than willing to share their knowledge and expertise with students who want to become nurses. So, don’t be afraid to reach out.

Know the Deadlines
After you’ve booked your exam, you will need to take your test within 365 days.
Eliminate False Answers Right Away
While you’re taking the examination, boost your odds of doing well by eliminating the false answers first. Then, take a good look at what’s left over and choose the most reasonable answer.
Cramming Doesn’t Help Much
If you’re planning on doing a lot of cramming prior to your NCLEX exam via Pearson VUE, we recommend re-thinking your strategy. The brain can only handle so much at one time and cramming may be counter-productive. It’s better to set aside enough time to study in a more natural and efficient manner, which promotes retention of facts.
Beware of “Always” and “Never” Answers
Most nurses who’ve successfully passed the test recommend looking closely at answers which contain absolutes, such as “never” and “always”. According to these health care pros, answers which are absolute are quite rare. So, most of these answers are not correct.
